Michelle Dixon

Michelle Dixon HK Law

Michelle is a Partner and the Head of Construction Law, based in our Poole Office.

I provide specialist guidance and advice to individuals and businesses, helping them navigate building and property disputes as well as their building contract needs. My clients encompass a diverse range, including contractors, sub-contractors, employers, developers, surveyors, architects, engineers, interior designers, landlords and homeowners.

My specialist expertise is regularly called upon to advise clients on a variety of building and property related disputes. These include issues such as defective workmanship/materials, professional negligence, payment disputes, delay claims and debt recovery.

Additionally, I support and advise clients on drafting and negotiating contract documents, including standard form contracts, for example the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) suite.

I also advise on landlord and tenant issues, evictions and neighbour disputes.
One invaluable benefit for clients is my specialist knowledge of construction law and my experience and practical understanding of common build issues and how they are best resolved.

I firmly believe in the importance of having thorough, frank, and transparent discussions with clients about their objectives and means, so that I can provide tailored advice to equip them in making informed decisions to achieve the best outcome. It is a proactive measure that can save time, money and stress in the long run.

In essence, my mission is to offer specialist expert support to my clients at every step of the way. Whether it’s ensuring their contract documents protect them or representing them in the event of a dispute, I am dedicated to achieving their goals and it’s a role I take great pride in.
