Marnie is a Solicitor in our Corporate & Commercial team, based in our Poole office.
The first thing I do for any client is put myself in their shoes and give advice as if dealing with my own business. I have detailed technical knowledge and ability, which I use to achieve solutions in complex situations whilst always communicating in an understandable way. I quickly grasp the detail, whilst thinking around the issue to achieve a result that meets the commercial objectives of the client.
Before joining HK Law in 2020, I completed my Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law in London, achieving a Distinction in both.
My recent work includes advising the board of trustees of a local museum on the reorganisation and incorporation of the charity, advising businesses in various sectors on the terms and conditions for the supply of goods and services, assisting with company and asset sales in the care home sector (amongst others), and advising on contractual obligations in the context of various international transactions.
I sit on the Committee for the Dorset Law Society, which is the professional body representing solicitors, trainee solicitors and chartered legal executives working for law firms in Dorset. I am also fluent in French.
