Laura joined Humphries Kirk as a solicitor in the Private Client Department in 2014. She specialises in agricultural succession planning, tax and estate planning, probate, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate administration, personal taxation, Trusts, management of private client’s property and financial affairs. Laura is Head of the Private Client Department.

As well as advising individuals about their own estates and succession planning, Laura advises beneficiaries of Trust and estates on the transition of assets to their own succession planning and wealth management for the next generation. This includes farm businesses and Attorneys on behalf of others. Client engagement, careful instructions and positive interaction is at the heart of any private client lawyer and has been key to Laura Staples success.

Laura lives in Taunton and is happy to meet clients out of the office across Somerset and Dorset.

Laura is married with two children, speaks fluent German and is an active fundraiser.
