One partner and four team members at Dorset and Somerset law firm Humphries Kirk took part in an extreme abseil challenge at Dorchester Fire Station on Saturday October 17 to raise funds for Action for Children.

Anita Apperley, Howard Yarnold, Gemma Wall and Stephanie McCulloch based in the Dorchester office of Humphries Kirk climbed up a smoke filled tower and abseil down 70ft through smoke and icy water blasts.

Howard Yarnold, partner at Humphries Kirk, said: “The team and I had a great time facing our fears and taking part in the challenge.”

The team’s fundraising total is currently £900.00 which will go directly to Action for Children, a charity which helps the young and vulnerable.
