Humphries Kirk presents cheque to Dorchester Stroke Club

Leading Dorset and Somerset law firm Humphries Kirk has presented the Dorchester Stroke Club with a cheque for £100 at the Club’s Christmas Lunch.

Humphries Kirk hosts a programme of bi-monthly breakfast networking events in Poundbury. Over the course of the year, delegates have paid £10 to attend and Humphries Kirk has collected 50p from each ticket sale in order to donate £100 to the Club.

Dorchester Stroke Club is a social club for people who have suffered a stroke or other neurological disorders in and around Dorchester and Weymouth. The Club organises activities that aim to restore confidence in those that have found their lives shattered by illness and aims to assist in social and speech rehabilitation.

The Club meets every Thursday in Dorchester in the Magna Housing Residents Hall. It is run by volunteers and relies on financial donations to cover the running costs.

Barry White, marketing consultant at Humphries Kirk and organiser of the Business Breakfast events, commented: “We’re delighted to be able to support the Dorchester Stroke Club with this donation. It’s our way of saying thank you to the dedicated volunteers that help run the social club.

“We look forward to another successful year of Business Breakfasts, giving business people the chance to meet in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, with an occasional guest speaker.”

Humphries Kirk’s friendly Business Breakfast returns in the New Year at The Engine Room in Poundbury on Wednesday January 17. Those interested in attending the networking event, should email Visit for information about upcoming Humphries Kirk events.
