Humphries Kirk offering 40 per cent discount on standard Wills during ‘Will Week’

Leading Dorset and Somerset law firm, Humphries Kirk, is offering 40 per cent off the basic cost of standard Wills during the return of its annual ‘Will Week.’

The firm’s promotional ‘Will Week’ takes place from Monday September 16 to Friday September 20, aiming to highlight the importance of having a Will.

Customers will also have the chance to ask questions about the advantages of having a Lasting Power of Attorney in place.

The offer is a 40 per cent reduction on the cost of making a basic Will, which equates to an approximate cost after discount of £117 + VAT for a single Will or £177 + VAT for a mirror Will. VAT will be added at 20 per cent.

Those interested in taking advantage of this offer, should visit to find contact details for their local Humphries Kirk office and arrange an appointment during ‘Will Week.’ Appointments must be booked during the promotional week and must have taken place by Sunday October 20.

Adam Scott, partner and joint head of private client at Humphries Kirk, commented:

“Our annual company-wide ‘Will Week’ typically receives a great response and so we are delighted to be offering this special promotion again to help raise awareness of the importance of having a Will, and one that is up to date.”

Humphries Kirk can also offer advice on how to appoint legal guardians, state your funeral wishes, and create legacies to individuals or charitable organisations. Any tax or trust advice will be charged separately.

Adam continued:

“Wills need to be in place to ensure that people’s affairs are properly in order when they die. Some people assume that when they die their assets will be passed automatically to their spouse, partner or children – but this is not guaranteed. If there is no Will in place, the law will dictate who gets what and how much. Having a Will in place is the only way to guarantee your wishes are respected after you have passed away.”

Humphries Kirk has offices in Bournemouth, Parkstone, Poole, Swanage, Wareham, Dorchester and Crewkerne, a consulting room in London and an international network of lawyers. Visit for more information.
