| Published on February 7, 2018

A representative from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance gave a presentation at the Humphries Kirk Business Breakfast event at Parkstone Golf Club.

The leading law firm hosted its latest networking event on Tuesday February 6th for local businesses.

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provide relief from sickness and injury for the people of Dorset and Somerset, by the provision of an air ambulance. Receiving no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery, the charity relies on the generosity of the public and support from local businesses.

Leanne Colverson from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance attended the Humphries Kirk event to talk about the work the air operations crew provide and the vital role they play in assisting with major trauma in the south west.

Michelle Dixon, associate solicitor at Humphries Kirk in Poole, said: “It was great to have Leanne from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance at our breakfast networking event. Guests heard about the quick emergency service and treatment the charity provides throughout Dorset and Somerset.”

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was one of Humphries Kirk in Wareham’s nominated charities to support throughout 2017. The Wareham office raised just under £100 for the charity through monthly ‘Dress Down Days’ for its staff last year. A collection also took place at the Business Breakfast to raise further funds for the charity.

Leanne Colverson, fundraising co-ordinator at Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, said: “I was delighted to be able to meet so many individuals and established businesses at the latest Humphries Kirk Business Breakfast. This type of event is the perfect opportunity for us to be able to communicate the work of the charity and I hope attendees found the information useful.

“We’re delighted to be nominated as one of the Humphries Kirk Wareham office’s charities of the year and since attending the Business Breakfast, we have had a number of other businesses wishing to show their support.

“If anyone would like to find out more about the charity, our website is a great place to start and can be found at www.dsairambulance.org.uk.”
