Commercial Property Lawyer (+2 Years PQE) – Full time – Poole

We are seeking a full time Qualified Commercial Property Lawyer (Solicitor preferred) to be based in the Commercial Land & Property Department at our Poole office.

The successful candidate will be 2+ years’ PQE or have the equivalent experience with good overall working knowledge of Commercial Property and Land Law.

The position will involve working alongside a highly experienced Partner, managing a full caseload from instruction to post-completion.  There are excellent opportunities for career progression for the right candidate.

Qualified Land Lawyer (+5 Years PQE – Associate or Salaried Partner level) – Full time – Crewkerne

We are seeking a full time Qualified Solicitor  (5+ years PQE) for our Land & Property Department in the Crewkerne office.

The successful candidate will be a circa 5+ years’ PQE Solicitor. This is a fantastic, career enhancing opportunity at Associate/Salaried Partner level, therefore, candidates must have extensive overall working knowledge of all areas of Property and Land Law and, preferably, other non-contentious areas of practice.

Qualified Private Client Lawyer (+4 yrs PQE) – Full time – Wareham

We are seeking a Full Time Qualified Private Client Lawyer (+4yrs PQE) to join the team at the Wareham office.

You will be a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 4+ years’ PQE, and all round experience of private client work.

This is a fantastic, career enhancing opportunity at Associate level, where you will have access to the knowledge of several highly experienced Private Client Solicitors and Partners, but will also need to possess the necessary skills and expertise to provide guidance to support staff and less experienced Fee Earners within the team, as and when required.  You will manage your own caseload independently and contribute effectively towards a team financial target and record 5 chargeable hours per day.  You will have the ability to utilise case management and digital dictation software and will enjoy using social media to promote and develop the team’s client base and the wider practice.

Company Commercial Solicitor (6+ years’ PQE) – Full Time – Dorchester and/or Poole

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Company Commercial Solicitor with 6+ years PQE at Associate/Salaried Partner level who has proven experience of corporate transactional work to be based in our Dorchester and/or Poole offices.

The role will involve working within a busy team on a very wide range of company/commercial work, which may include: company and business sales and purchases, contract drafting and negotiation (covering all types of contracts including Terms & Conditions of Sale/ Purchase; Supply/ Distribution/ Agency /Franchise agreements etc), private equity/ investment documentation and other corporate finance related transactions; Shareholders Agreements and disputes, share capital restructuring; employee share option and other incentive schemes; business start-ups, business succession planning; education sector work including academy conversions and multi academy trusts.

Legal Admin Assistant – Full time – Parkstone

Seeking a full time Legal Admin Assistant to join the Land Department at our Parkstone office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to kick start a legal career in an entry level role.

The role will involve supporting the Parkstone based Land Law team, predominantly with opening and closing files, preparing documentation and general admin to assist the team.  Specific knowledge or qualifications relating to Land Law are not required, however candidates educated to Degree level who have the desire to forge a career within the legal sector are of particular interest.

Depending upon the skills, competencies and wishes of the successful candidate, there may be opportunities to apply for sponsorship of CILEX or other qualifications following the probation period.  This particular role could offer the right candidate the potential in the long term of reaching Land Lawyer status.

Paralegal (Land) – Full time or Part time – Poole

We currently have a requirement for a Commercial Property Paralegal to be based in the Commercial Land Department at our Poole (Tower Park) office.  The role could be undertaken as Full Time or Part Time ( minimum of 3 days) however full time would be preferable.

 

Working within a small team, this role is varied and fast moving and will involve proactively assisting in moving commercial conveyancing matters forward.  Applicants should have an in-depth procedural knowledge of end to end conveyancing work (residential or commercial) from enquiry to post completion, in order to give a high level of assistance to the Land Partner and other lawyers.  Fee Earning experience is desirable but not essential, although those candidates who have not previously undertaken time recording must demonstrate their desire and ability to work in a fee earning capacity.

 

This role will suit one of the following:

  • A highly skilled Commercial Property Paralegal with good knowledge of commercial property transactions and previous experience of time recording and drafting documentation.
  • A Residential Property Paralegal who has experience of running their own caseload and is willing and able to learn and practice within Commercial Property.
  • A Paralegal with some recent conveyancing experience who has the ability and long term aspiration to work within commercial property, ultimately within a fee earning capacity

Office Admin Apprentice (15 month fixed Term) – Dorchester

We currently have a requirement for a full time Office Admin Assistant (Apprentice) to be based at our Dorchester office on a 15 month fixed term Apprenticeship.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop admin and reception skills in a highly professional environment.   The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Business Admin Level 3 qualification via an appropriate training provider sourced by the Firm.

Candidates should be aware that the role will involve a degree of light lifting and carrying (i.e. files) and regular use of stairs.  There may also be daily shopping and postal duties that will involve leaving the office for short periods of time as needed.

The role is to provide a first class ‘Front of House’ service to visitors to the office and to oversee the operational functions across the respective office including buildings maintenance.  The role will  be responsible for assisting the Group Office Manager in relation to attendance management, holiday records and staffing resources, as well as daily supervision of an Apprentice.   Suited to individuals with exemplary ‘Front of House’ skills including strong customer service and telephone skills along with a smart demeanour.  Supervisory skills are desirable along with an understanding of the legal environment and ideally previous working knowledge of Case Management systems.   The main duties are set out in the job description.

We are seeking a full time Paralegal to be based in the Commercial Department at the Dorchester office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a conscientious and ambitious graduate or experienced paralegal to work closely with a Commercial Partner and their team, to support them on a day to day basis.

This role may suit, either:

  • A candidate educated to degree level (Law degree desirable) who possesses good working knowledge of company/commercial law and a minimum of 12 months previous law firm experience
