Qualified Private Client Lawyer (2-4 Years’ PQE) – Wareham

Seeking a full time Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (2-4 years’ PQE) to join the Private Client Department at our Wareham office.

You will be working with a highly experienced Private Client Solicitor (Partner), who will be on hand to support you, but who works from another office several times a week. For this reason, there is a requirement that you are able to manage your own caseload independently and have the ability to provide guidance to the support staff and junior members of the team when required. You must have excellent all-round working knowledge of private client law and be comfortable working with case management systems. Ideally you will be familiar with digital dictation and be a member of STEP or working towards this qualification. The main duties are set out in the job description.

Qualified Land Lawyer (4+ Yrs PQE) – Dorchester

Seeking a full time 4yrs+ PQE Residential Property Lawyer (Solicitor preferred) to be based in the Residential Land Department at our Dorchester office.

The successful candidate will be a 4+ years’ PQE Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with good overall working knowledge of Residential Property and Land Law. Candidates must have previous experience of managing a full caseload from instruction to post-completion. You will be working with several highly experienced Land Lawyers, but must possess the necessary skills and expertise to work without supervision, and it is likely that you will have had some experience of providing guidance to support staff and less experienced Fee Earners in a previous role. There are excellent opportunities for career progression for the right candidate.

Qualified Land Lawyer (+5 Years PQE – Associate or Salaried Partner level) – Full time – Crewkerne

We are seeking a full time Qualified Solicitor  (5+ years PQE) for our Land & Property Department in the Crewkerne office.

The successful candidate will be a circa 5+ years’ PQE Solicitor. This is a fantastic, career enhancing opportunity at Associate/Salaried Partner level, therefore, candidates must have extensive overall working knowledge of all areas of Property and Land Law and, preferably, other non-contentious areas of practice.

Company Commercial Solicitor (6+ years’ PQE) – Full Time – Dorchester and/or Poole

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Company Commercial Solicitor with 6+ years PQE at Associate/Salaried Partner level who has proven experience of corporate transactional work to be based in our Dorchester and/or Poole offices.

The role will involve working within a busy team on a very wide range of company/commercial work, which may include: company and business sales and purchases, contract drafting and negotiation (covering all types of contracts including Terms & Conditions of Sale/ Purchase; Supply/ Distribution/ Agency /Franchise agreements etc), private equity/ investment documentation and other corporate finance related transactions; Shareholders Agreements and disputes, share capital restructuring; employee share option and other incentive schemes; business start-ups, business succession planning; education sector work including academy conversions and multi academy trusts.

Paralegal (Private Client) – Full time – Wareham

We are seeking a full time Paralegal for our Private Client Team based at our Wareham office.

The role will be to provide comprehensive Paralegal support to our Private Client Lawyers, to assist them with their large and varied caseload, and to help them in proactively progressing their matter files. Duties will also include monitoring finances and Work in Progress billing, as well as compliance and document and diary management, therefore candidates must be comfortable undertaking these more routine duties as well as supporting on the more complex tasks.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has extensive Private Client Law experience gained within a similar Paralegal role. However, Law Graduates or those studying CILEX, who possess at least 1 years’ experience within Private Client Law may be considered, as some training can be provided. PA to Partner – Company Commercial – Poole

We are seeking a full time PA to Partner to support our Commercial Partner based in the Company and Commercial Department at our Poole office. We may consider applicants looking for a part time position.

You will have excellent administration and PA skills, ideally gained within a professional environment. A legal background is not required, but extensive experience as a senior manager’s or director’s PA is essential.

Your role will involve detailed diary management, setting up meetings and associated travel arrangements and ensuring regulatory compliance of all business undertaken by the Partner and his team, including administration of trademark and intellectual property business.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Organising the daily workload of the Partner
  • Organisation of meetings
  •  Attending meetings and taking minutes (may include travel to other offices)
  •  Maintaining a task list of matters/action points arising from meetings

Office Admin Apprentice – Full time – Bournemouth (18 month Fixed Term Apprenticeship)

We are now seeking a full time, Office Admin Apprentice to join our Bournemouth office on an 18 month fixed term Apprenticeship to work predominantly on the front desk, providing general admin support to the Office Supervisor and legal staff.

Candidate Profile: This role would ideally suit candidates who possess the basic skills required to work within a professional office environment. Some previous admin/reception experience is desirable but not essential as training can be given, however candidates must be conscientious and reliable with a professional demeanour and possess excellent communication skills including a good telephone manner. An eye for detail is also essential as is a keen interest in helping colleagues to achieve common goals.

Candidates should be aware that the role will involve a degree of light lifting and carrying (i.e. files) and regular use of stairs. There may also be daily shopping and postal duties that will involve leaving the office for short periods of time as needed.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Business Administration Level 3 qualification that includes some law related modules, via an appropriate training provider sourced by the Firm. The role would therefore ideally suit those seeking a career in business or law.

Trainee Solicitor
