Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Manager – 1 x Part time (2.5-3 days) – Wareham (with travel)

We have a requirement for a part time, competent Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Manager. The role will be based at our Wareham office but travel will be required across all offices so a car is essential.

This role will suit a skilled lawyer who can interpret the law relating to compliance and anti-money laundering with relevant knowledge and experience gained in private practice. They will oversee the activities of the Compliance Coordinator and work with the other compliance staff within the business. The ability to research, plan and implement new legislation across the Practice whilst ensuring existing standards are also upheld and complied with is essential.

The successful candidate will be overseeing Q1’s on behalf of COLP & COFA and will be required to proactively participate in Compliance meetings. Candidates must therefore have in depth knowledge of regulation and good practice relating to SRA, Law Society, Insurers, Courts and other regulatory standards.

Paralegal – 1 x Part Time (17.5 hours) – Poole

We are looking for a Part Time, circa 17.5 hours (5 half days preferred) Paralegal to be based in the Commercial Land Department at our Poole office.

Candidates will have knowledge of commercial conveyancing procedures at Paralegal level. Efficient administration skills are required along with a fast and accurate typing speed of at least 60+WPM. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing admin support to the Fee Earners in order that they can proactively progress their matters. The ability to be an excellent team player with a positive demeanour and a flexible attitude is important. The main duties are set out in the job description.

Paralegal – 1 x Full Time (or equivalent) – Dorchester

We are looking for a Full Time, Targeted Paralegal to be based in the Residential Land Department at our Dorchester office.

Candidates will have a thorough knowledge of Residential Land Law and be able to undertake work at both an administrative and fee earning level. Candidates should have the ability to manage matters from enquiry through to post completion and build effective business development relationships with agents and third parties. Group Deputy Office Manager – 1 x Supplementary Role In Addition To Another Support Role

This role is a supplementary role that will be taken in addition to a substantive support staff post. The post holder will report to and take direction from the Group Office Manager (GOM), deputising in their absence and supporting them during busy periods/when requested. Experience of the ‘previous OM role’ would be highly advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a seamless service in the absence of the GOM in order to ensure the required service levels.

Group Telephonist – 1 x Full Time (or equivalent) – Any Office Considered

This role will be the central point of contact for all direct incoming calls into the firm.

A vital skill for this role is the ability to effectively undertake ‘multiple call handling’ of a high volume of calls in line with the firm’s required client service standards. Suited to candidates who possess a highly professional telephone manner and pleasant demeanour along with good working knowledge of legal services in order to direct calls accordingly. Office Supervisor (Front of house) – 7 x Full Time (or equivalent)

Seeking 1 full time (or equivalent) person for each office, the role is to provide a first class ‘Front of House’ service to visitors to the office and to oversee the operational functions across the respective office including Buildings Maintenance.

The role will also be responsible for assisting the Group Office Manager in relation to attendance management, holiday records and staffing resources, as well as daily supervision of an Apprentice (where applicable). Group Office Manager – 1 x Full Time – Any Office Considered

Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role is responsible for office management and associated duties across the entire practice.

Due to the level of responsibility required for this role, the post holder will have good overall staffing management experience, including the ability to manage performance, assess risk and undertake attendance management with minimum supervision but under the guidance of HR. The post holder will be required to proactively manage in an operational, supervisory and administrative capacity and will ensure complete accountability for all tasks under their remit with the ability to work largely unsupervised.

Other tasks will include managing the Firm’s schemes for Apprenticeships and Trainee Secretaries, along with ensuring the Firm has sufficient & trained First Aiders and Fire Marshalls.
