Qualified Land Lawyer (4+ Yrs PQE)

We are seeking a full time 4yrs+ PQE Residential Property Lawyer (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive) to join the Residential Land Team at our Wareham office.

The successful candidate will be a 4+ years’ PQE Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with good overall working knowledge of Residential Property and Land Law. Candidates must have previous experience of managing a full caseload from instruction to post-completion There will be access to the knowledge of several highly experienced Land Solicitors and Partners based at other offices, but as this role will be the most qualified member of a small team, candidates must possess the necessary skills and expertise to provide guidance to support staff and less experienced Fee Earners within the team, as and when required. There are excellent opportunities for career progression for the right candidate. The main duties are set out in the Job Description.

Commercial Property Lawyer (+2 Years PQE) – Full time – Poole

We are seeking a full time Qualified Commercial Property Lawyer (Solicitor preferred) to be based in the Commercial Land & Property Department at our Poole office.

The successful candidate will be 2+ years’ PQE or have the equivalent experience with good overall working knowledge of Commercial Property and Land Law.

The position will involve working alongside a highly experienced Partner, managing a full caseload from instruction to post-completion.  There are excellent opportunities for career progression for the right candidate.

Qualified Land Lawyer (+5 Years PQE – Associate or Salaried Partner level) – Full time – Crewkerne

We are seeking a full time Qualified Solicitor  (5+ years PQE) for our Land & Property Department in the Crewkerne office.

The successful candidate will be a circa 5+ years’ PQE Solicitor. This is a fantastic, career enhancing opportunity at Associate/Salaried Partner level, therefore, candidates must have extensive overall working knowledge of all areas of Property and Land Law and, preferably, other non-contentious areas of practice.

The position will involve working alongside two highly experienced Partners, managing a full caseload from instruction to post-completion.  There are excellent opportunities to grow the Practice, and for career progression for the right candidate, therefore candidates seeking a long term career move are of particular interest.

Company Commercial Solicitor (6+ years’ PQE) – Full Time – Dorchester and/or Poole

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Company Commercial Solicitor with 6+ years PQE at Associate/Salaried Partner level who has proven experience of corporate transactional work to be based in our Dorchester and/or Poole offices.

The role will involve working within a busy team on a very wide range of company/commercial work, which may include: company and business sales and purchases, contract drafting and negotiation (covering all types of contracts including Terms & Conditions of Sale/ Purchase; Supply/ Distribution/ Agency /Franchise agreements etc), private equity/ investment documentation and other corporate finance related transactions; Shareholders Agreements and disputes, share capital restructuring; employee share option and other incentive schemes; business start-ups, business succession planning; education sector work including academy conversions and multi academy trusts.

Paralegal (Private Client) – Full time – Crewkerne

We are seeking a full time Paralegal for our Private Client Team to be based at our Crewkerne office.

The role will be to provide comprehensive Paralegal support to our Private Client Lawyers, to assist them with their large and varied caseload, and to help them in proactively progressing their matter files. Duties will include monitoring finances and Work in Progress billing, as well as compliance and document management. The role will also involve typing and document processing, therefore candidates must be comfortable undertaking these more routine duties as well as supporting on the more complex tasks. Whilst not an immediate need, in the longer term, the successful candidate will be expected to actively progress matter files in the absence of the fee earner (within the boundaries of their role).

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked within a similar role as a Private Client Paralegal, however consideration will also be given to other candidates, such as those who have worked within a Legal secretary role in a private client department, but who have career aspirations to progress into a fee earning role in the longer term.

Trainee Solicitor

We are no longer accepting applications for 2022 Training Contracts, however, we are now taking applications for the 2023 intake. When sending your application, please apply by email and specify year of commencement in the subject header.

If you have taken an alternative route to qualification, you will be required to supply appropriate details and qualification results.
