Qualified Private Client Lawyer – Full Time – Dorchester

We are seeking a full time Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years’ experience to be based in the Private Client Department in our Dorchester office.

Candidates will be required to meet 5 chargeable hours per day with the ability to utilise case management and digital dictation software. You will be able to manage your own caseload independently and contribute effectively towards a team budget and work effectively as a team.

You will be able to support and advise junior members of the team and the support staff.

Trainee Solicitor

We are no longer accepting applications for 2021 Training Contracts, however, we are now taking applications for the 2022 intake. When sending your application, please apply by email and specify your preferred year of commencement in the subject header.

What we look for: We recognise the importance of contributing to the next generation of Solicitors and as a leading local law firm, we are proud to offer excellent training and support.  Our Trainee Solicitors provide a very valuable resource to our busy Firm, therefore, candidates must be prepared to undertake a wide range of tasks in preparation and recognition of the fact that this is a profession that is going to require an incredibly high degree of dedication, tenacity, flexibility and hard work. Desirable traits will include; good communication skills, strong academic skills, a flexible approach and an excellent work ethic. Ties to the region are desirable but not a pre-requisite.

Candidate Eligibility: In order to apply, you will have completed a law degree or be able to verify predicted results.  Candidates will normally have been accepted onto an LPC before applying, but in any event, it is currently a condition that all appointed Trainees must have successfully completed the LPC prior to commencement of the Training Contract. If you have taken an alternative route to qualification, you will be required to supply appropriate details and qualification results.

    • Whether you have a full clean driving licence and a car (this is normally a requirement for work related travel)
    • Any areas of law where you have a specific interest
    • The date you from which you able to commence a training contract
