Litigation Solicitor (NQ-3 years’ PQE) – Full time preferred – Dorchester

We have an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Solicitor – NQ – 3 years PQE – to be based at our Dorchester office. Full time hours are preferred, although consideration will also be given to candidates seeking part time hours (circa 17.5+ hours per week).

The role will involve working within a busy team on a varied civil litigation caseload. Candidates must have proven experience of handling a variety of civil litigation matters with minimal supervision, and will demonstrate the characteristics required to ensure the highest client service standards are maintained whilst also meeting time recording and billing targets. Working knowledge of Personal Injury, Debt Recovery and Contentious Probate work is highly desirable.

Company Commercial Solicitor (6+ years’ PQE) – Full Time – Dorchester and/or Poole

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Company Commercial Solicitor with 6+ years PQE at Associate/Salaried Partner level who has proven experience of corporate transactional work to be based in our Dorchester and/or Poole offices.

The role will involve working within a busy team on a very wide range of company/commercial work, which may include: company and business sales and purchases, contract drafting and negotiation (covering all types of contracts including Terms & Conditions of Sale/ Purchase; Supply/ Distribution/ Agency /Franchise agreements etc), private equity/ investment documentation and other corporate finance related transactions; Shareholders Agreements and disputes, share capital restructuring; employee share option and other incentive schemes; business start-ups, business succession planning; education sector work including academy conversions and multi academy trusts.

Qualified Private Client Lawyer – Full Time – Dorchester

We are seeking a full time Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years’ experience to be based in the Private Client Department in our Dorchester office.

Candidates will be required to meet 5 chargeable hours per day with the ability to utilise case management and digital dictation software. You will be able to manage your own caseload independently and contribute effectively towards a team budget and work effectively as a team.

You will be able to support and advise junior members of the team and the support staff.

Marketing & Communications Officer – Full time – Wareham

The Firm is going through major changes in regards to its marketing function and this is a newly created role. It will require a forward-thinking person as initiative is very important. Because this is a new role, there will be new ways of working and we will require input from you so that we can draw from your experience in shaping the function to the needs of the business. You will also need creativity as you will be expected to suggest new ideas as a general part of the function.

You will need to have experience of working without the luxury of delegating to a larger team or external agencies as this is a stand-alone role and you will be required to manage the function from start to finish in its entirety from ideas through to completion of tasks and monitoring outcomes whilst ensuring a keen eye for detail throughout.

You will need to have the ability to meet the varying demands of working in a role where there is sometimes ambiguity and conflicting ideas at stakeholder level, therefore you will need excellent communication and negotiating skills, tenacity, drive and the ability to establish the way forward appropriately whilst working within the boundaries of the role and you will have the ability to know when to take action and when to seek guidance.

There will be some opportunity for home working, but you must be available to attend the office when needed particularly in the early stages of the role and around campaign times and similar and as directed.

Office Admin Apprentice (15 month fixed Term) – Parkstone/ Poole

We currently have a requirement for a full time Office Admin Assistant (Apprentice) to work from both the Parkstone and Poole offices on a 15 month fixed term Apprenticeship.

This role would ideally suit candidates who possess the basic skills required to work within a professional office environment. Some previous admin/reception experience is desirable but not essential as training can be given, however candidates must be conscientious and reliable with a professional demeanour and possess excellent communication skills including a good telephone manner. An eye for detail is also essential as is a keen interest in helping colleagues to achieve common goals. Due to the need for travel between the offices, candidates must have their own car which is insured for business use.

Trainee Solicitor
