Commercial Property Lawyer (+2 Years PQE) – Full time – Poole

We are seeking a full time Qualified Commercial Property Lawyer (Solicitor preferred) to be based in the Commercial Land & Property Department at our Poole office.

The successful candidate will be 2+ years’ PQE or have the equivalent experience with good overall working knowledge of Commercial Property and Land Law.

The position will involve working alongside a highly experienced Partner, managing a full caseload from instruction to post-completion.  There are excellent opportunities for career progression for the right candidate.

Qualified Land Lawyer (+5 Years PQE – Associate or Salaried Partner level) – Full time – Crewkerne

We are seeking a full time Qualified Solicitor  (5+ years PQE) for our Land & Property Department in the Crewkerne office.

The successful candidate will be a circa 5+ years’ PQE Solicitor. This is a fantastic, career enhancing opportunity at Associate/Salaried Partner level, therefore, candidates must have extensive overall working knowledge of all areas of Property and Land Law and, preferably, other non-contentious areas of practice.

Company Commercial Solicitor (6+ years’ PQE) – Full Time – Dorchester and/or Poole

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Company Commercial Solicitor with 6+ years PQE at Associate/Salaried Partner level who has proven experience of corporate transactional work to be based in our Dorchester and/or Poole offices.

The role will involve working within a busy team on a very wide range of company/commercial work, which may include: company and business sales and purchases, contract drafting and negotiation (covering all types of contracts including Terms & Conditions of Sale/ Purchase; Supply/ Distribution/ Agency /Franchise agreements etc), private equity/ investment documentation and other corporate finance related transactions; Shareholders Agreements and disputes, share capital restructuring; employee share option and other incentive schemes; business start-ups, business succession planning; education sector work including academy conversions and multi academy trusts.

Legal Admin Assistant –1 year Fixed Term Contract – Dorchester

Seeking a full time Legal Admin Assistant to join the Trust and Tax Department at our Dorchester office. The role is for a 1 year Fixed Term period and we are seeking someone who can start the role as soon as possible.

This role will involve supporting the Dorchester based Trust and Tax team, predominantly with processing of information onto the online Trust Registration service, along with other associated administration and general admin to assist the team.  Specific knowledge or qualifications relating to Tax and Trust Law are not required, however candidates who have either gained some previous admin experience in a legal/professional services firm, or who possess a Law or Business (or related) Degree are of particular interest.  The role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone to gain the foundations upon which to build a career within the legal sector.

Legal Secretary – Land – Dorchester

Seeking a full time Legal Secretary to join the Residential Land Team based at our Dorchester office.

You will be providing comprehensive secretarial support to our Land Lawyers.   This role will be perfectly suited to a skilled legal conveyancing secretary.  You will have a good overall knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures from instruction to post completion. An understanding of commercial land law is also desirable.  The main duties are set out in the job description.

Credit Controller – Full or part time – Parkstone or Swanage

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our Finance Department.   The role could be based from either the Parkstone or Swanage office.  Full time preferred but part time hours will be considered (minimum of 28 hours over 4 or 5 days).

Your will take ownership, in conjunction with relevant fee earners, of the entire aged debt credit control function from initial client calls and letters all the way through to Moneyclaim online, and in conjunction with relevant teams defend our position and pursue through to collection.

This role will ideally suit an individual who possesses a minimum of two year’s recent credit control experience, ideally gained within a Legal/ Professional Services or similar environment. You must be highly numerate and not easily fazed by meeting deadlines and will be comfortable taking ownership (in conjunction with fee earners) of the entire aged debt function.  You must be a natural communicator, persuasive and resilient in character, yet have sufficient empathy to be able to level with the client.  You must be IT proficient, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.   The main duties are set out in the job description.

Senior Practice Administrator – Full time

We are seeking a Full time, Senior Practice Administrator to support the Senior Managers within the Practice Management Team. You will be based at our Wareham office initially but will relocate with your team to the Parkstone office towards the end of the year/ beginning of next year.

This is a busy role for an individual with strong admin and secretarial skills to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Practice Manager and Finance Director. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ recent and relevant experience in a similar level role, and will ideally possess a recognized Business qualification. A high level of initiative and drive is required and individuals will need to take a proactive approach and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities will include a variety of Partnership and Solicitors Regulation Authority related administration. Tasks will include preparing agendas, briefing papers and minute taking, as well as project work, undertaking renewal and review of insurance policies, liaising with contractors and coordinating internal office moves. Paralegal (Land) – Full time – Dorchester

We currently have a full time requirement for a Residential Property Paralegal to be based in the Land Department at our Dorchester office.

Working within a small team, this role is varied and fast moving and will involve proactively assisting in moving residential conveyancing matters forward with minimal supervision.  Applicants must have procedural knowledge of end to end residential conveyancing work from enquiry to post completion, in order to give a high level of assistance to the Fee Earners within the Land Team.   Previous experience of time recording and drafting documentation is desirable.

Trainee Solicitor
